Marketing Resume Template

Marketing hiring managers skim for three things: which channels you owned, how much budget you ran, and what moved because of it. Design-heavy templates often bury all three in a sidebar that parsers read out of order. This template keeps channels, numbers, and dates on the same line, so both the ATS and the reader see your results.

Marketing roles attract portfolio-style templates, but the application still goes through Greenhouse, Lever or Workday. Single column keeps your results attached to the right job. Send the designed version only when someone asks for a portfolio.

How to fill in a marketing manager resume

Name the channel in every bullet

Paid social, lifecycle email, SEO, events. A bullet that only says you managed campaigns could belong to anyone. The channel name is also the term recruiters filter on.

Show budget and outcome together

Spend on its own says little. Pair it with the result it bought: pipeline, signups, CAC, or revenue. Use ranges you can defend if you do not have exact figures.

List tools in plain text

HubSpot, Marketo, GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Semrush. Skip logos and icons, which parsers ignore, and make sure your top tools also appear inside a bullet.

Keep the portfolio separate

Link your portfolio or case studies in the header. The resume itself should stay plain so it parses; the portfolio is where design belongs.

Turn duties into results

Recruiters skim for outcomes. Rewrite task bullets with what changed and how you know.

Marketing Manager resume FAQ

Should a marketing resume be creative?

Keep the resume itself plain and readable, and put creativity in your portfolio and in the results you describe. Heavy design often breaks parsing in the applicant tracking systems most marketing teams use.

What metrics belong on a marketing resume?

Pick the ones tied to the role: pipeline or revenue for demand gen, CAC and ROAS for paid, organic traffic and signups for SEO and content, open and conversion rates for lifecycle.

Do I need a portfolio link?

For brand, content, and creative roles, yes. For performance and growth roles, a short case study or a results-heavy resume can be enough. Put the link in the header so it is easy to find.
