First CNA applications that stall in Workday
Applying before registry activation. HR systems ask whether you're certified now. In progress is not the same as active.
One generic resume for hospital and nursing home reqs. Acute care postings want patient population language. Long-term care wants ADL and dementia care terms. Swap the top bullet, not just the cover letter greeting.
Hiding clinical rotation in a paragraph. Month Year dates on their own line. Parsers treat undated training like a hobby.
Two-column Canva templates. Registry numbers and BLS dates end up in the wrong field when columns import out of order.
Skipping facilities that hire new grads. Your first paid role may be nights at a skilled nursing facility while you stack experience for a hospital posting six months later. That's normal, not failure.
